This is the walking section of our running group, ideal if you are recovering from injuries, struggling with niggles or just want to walk. Please note that some runs may be suitable for children aged 8+ where the Run Leader(s) holds the relevant qualifications and insurance. Yoga means unite or join, bringing together of mind and body through our breath. Our Yoga class will begin and end with relaxation, sun salutations and various postures (asanas). Yoga is suitable for all abilities with options and adaptations.
This fun dance class teaches you to move like a dancer, have fun and gives you a good workout. The moves are all low impact and suitable for all levels of fitness.
Grade 1 - 30 minutes, about 1.5 miles, gentle hills, no stiles. If this is your first Health Walk, please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start so you can listen to a pre walk briefing. You don't need any special equipment but be sure to dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes and bring a bottle of water. There is a choice between a L1 & L2 walk: Level 1: 1 to 1.5 miles, flat or gentle slopes, no stiles and ideal for those able to complete 30- 40 mins with minimal stops. Level 2: 2 - 2.5 miles, tracks and some hills or moderate pace. Ideal for those looking to develop their walking fitness and able to complete 45-60 mins with minimal stops.
