Join this free Wellbeing walk, for fresh air and fitness in a friendly environment. Wellbeing Walks are short walks, led by friendly, specially trained volunteer walk leaders, who are on hand to provide encouragement and support. The walks are free of charge and are open to everyone – you don’t need to preregister, just come along and join the group at the advertised time. The route starts and finishes at the same location. Pace: Mainly Gear 2. Distance covered : approx 4- to 5 miles, depending on weather and ground conditions. Expect some gentle hills, uneven ground and mud after wet weather. A great walk for intermediate Nordic walkers, these weekly walks take place in the parks, public footpaths and occasionally country lanes around the beautiful Cheshire countryside. NB Today the walk starts in Tissington Village These gentle walks are suitable for people who would like to start Nordic Walking to get fit but have no/ little walking experience, have had an injury or an knee/ hip operation. We often walk on the Tissington Trail as this is fairly level and even. But we will also incorporate fields and hills in our walks which are 2-3 miles.
