Staying active is essential for maintaining independence, preventing falls, and supporting overall wellbeing. These evidence‑based classes are proven to help reduce the risk of falls and are specifically tailored for older adults who may be feeling unsteady, anxious about falling, or experiencing reduced mobility. The programme aims to help Islanders remain stronger for longer and continue doing the things they enjoy. Benefits of Strength and Balance classes The classes provide a safe, friendly, and supportive environment where participants can: Maintain independence and continue with day‑to‑day activities Build confidence and reduce the likelihood of falls Improve mobility and general health Stay active while enjoying the social benefits of group exercise.
