Creative Walks: Writing from Overlooked Moments
Culture in Common
Overview
Creative Walks are a series of walks throughout the New Forest aimed at connecting people to nature and each other through creative activities including photography, sketching, creative writing, outdoor dance and much more! Join us for a Creative Walk that invites you to find inspiration in the moments and spaces we often overlook. As we move through the landscape together, we'll practise mindful sensory awareness embracing the vibrant overload of everyday life and sifting through it to uncover hidden rhythms, flashes of wildness, and unexpected beauty. Our focus will be on the in-between spaces: the cracks in the pavement, the forgotten corners, the small pauses between louder moments. Through a series of gentle writing prompts, we will explore how imagination can breathe life into the seemingly inanimate — transforming ordinary objects and overlooked places into rich, living stories. We will also stop for a hot drink (included in the price)!
