Overview
This intensive tumbling workshop is for those athletes AGED 8+ who are working on their back handsprings, tucks and running tumbling progressions using these skills. This workshop is an open Tumbling Intensive with UK Tumbling Collective. This is a coached session, focused on drills, body shaping and improving technique. This tumbling workshop is open to everyone. This is an intermediate level workshop, aimed at those with some tumbling experience and currently working in-line with Levels 2-3 (IASF). Suitable for dancers, cheerleaders, gymnasts and acrobats working at this level. Prerequisite skills (as a minimum) include: Handstand hold, Backwards roll, Back walkover, Cartwheel, Roundoff. This workshop is not suitable for beginners who do not have the prerequisite skills. The session will include a dynamic warm-up, conditioning drills, body shaping and control-based equipment stations, standing tumbling stations and open free tumbling time for running tumbling. Athletes will be able to focus on fundamental tumbling principles (power, shaping, strength) and also work on skills and connected passes at their own ability level. This is NOT an unstructured 'open-gym' session. Coaches will be on hand throughout to assist with feedback, spotting and progression tips.
