This is a fantastic class for those who want to enjoy the benefits of Pilates but find getting up and down from the floor difficult. We use a range of equipment to get a full body workout and we have a lot of fun and laughter.
Join us for steady walk and engaging conversations every Thursday morning at East Cliff Surgery. Take a break, connect with others, and enjoy the fresh air together. We walk from the practice down to the cliff top, along and back. There are benches if people need to take a break. We are a mixed ability walk.
Walking Netball is a slower version of the game; it is netball, but at a walking pace. Sessions are full of fun, laughter, and camaraderie. Our sessions will be lead by a walking netball host who will support you if you are new to netball or would like a refresher. A 60 minute class aimed at people who are less mobile and unable to come down to a mat on the floor. The class starts sitting in the chair using grounding techniques to bring awareness into the present moment and progresses to standing postures with support of the chair if you are able. This is a gentle practice to mobilise the whole body without putting strain on vulnerable areas. We finish with a seated meditation. Ilchester Town Hall main room is upstairs but there is a lift.
