A class designed for people following a cardiac episode, including surgery, to continue to be active in a safe environment.
A 5 week rolling programme performing choreographed routines, moving to music and building on rhythmic ability, coordination, mobility and stamina. Classes are tailored for the age group and fitness levels. We aim to have fun, to smile and laugh and enjoy being active together.

Walk with us to make new friends, get fit and explore your local area. Our walks are led by friendly volunteers – one at the front and one at the back - who are entrusted by Hertfordshire County Council to lead safe and happy walks You don't need any special equipment but be sure to dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes and bring a bottle of water. The classes are suitable for older adults who haven’t exercised before or who have started to experience a decline in their physical ability. There are two classes available: A Beginner/Intermediate class which lasts for 45 minutes and an Intermediate/Advanced class, which lasts for approximately 1 hour. A Low Impact circuit class aimed for residents who are inactive and at risk of cardiovascular diseases and mild to moderate mental health conditions. Please note all participants looking to take part must book a consultation to see the Get Active Specialist first. This consultation will run through the essential inclusion criteria to determine eligibility. Participants will receive 6 weeks free of exercise classes and then £4.50 per person
