Our Dancing with Parkinson's programme offers dance and movement sessions which are appropriate for those living with Parkinson's and anyone living with a neurological condition, heart or circulatory disease. Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done while sitting. Some poses will be done standing using a chair/ballet barre for support. Chair yoga can improve your flexibility, concentration and strength, while boosting your mood, and reducing stress and joint strain.
A chair-based session designed specifically for beginners to concentrate on slow, measured movements to create lean and stronger muscles around your torso. A gentle but highly effective session for improving posture, flexibility and preventing injury.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have never used the toning suite before you are required an induction. Inductions are £11.80 and must be booked over the phone or in site (01472) 326875. You are only permitted to use the Toning Suite if you meet a certain criteria which will be authorised by the Fitness Supervisor.
