Open 7 days a week 9am-3:30pm, Cycle Hire sessions last 90mins Watchtree Wheelers is all about getting people on bikes. We hire bikes; we sell bikes; we fix bikes; we teach people to ride bikes. We have an extensive cycle fleet of accessable bikes and trikes for you to hire for 90 mins and ride around the reserve. We have all sorts of bikes for all sorts of people. Whatever your requirements, the chances are we have something to suit your needs. Can’t ride? We still have options that let you join in the fun. We have companion cycles that you can ride on with support of your friends and family, child seats for those too little to pedal, a cargo trike, trikes, recumbants, handcycles and wheelchair carrying tricycles. Not a confident rider? We can help with that. We provide training sessions from drop-in, led sessions like “Little Wheelers” to 1:1 personal tuition. We cater for all ages and abilities. Got your own bike? Well bring it along and come and enjoy the great outdoors in a safe and accessible environment for free! We make cycling accessible to all!

Meeting point instructions:

If possible, please bring your own helmet. If you do not have your own we will have a selection which are sanitised after each use. On arrival, please wait outside the segregated cycle storage area and have your booking receipt ready either printed or on your phone.

Accessibility Information:

Watchtree offers a range of accessibility features to ensure a comfortable visit for all. **Accessible Toilets** are located near the Visitor Centre with wide entrances, grab rails, emergency pull cords, and non-slip flooring, making them wheelchair-friendly. We also provide **Accessible Compost Toilets** along our nature trail, designed with ramps, handrails, and ample space inside for easy use. Our **Car Park** have disabled spaces situated near the main entrance and Visitor Centre, with extra-wide parking spaces for side or rear-loading vehicles. The surface is smooth and even, ensuring safe access for wheelchair users. **Pathways and wildlife hides** The perimeter trail is wide, flat, and smooth, allowing easy access for wheelchairs and mobility scooters, with accessible seating areas along the way. Mixed terrain trails are also wheelchair and pram friendly. Cycling is not allowed on specified walk paths. Our wildlife hides are designed to be accessible, ensuring everyone can enjoy the outdoors. The **Visitor Centre** offers step-free entrances, wide doorways, and staff are on hand to provide assistance. Guide dogs are welcome throughout the site. These features make Watchtree a welcoming and inclusive destination for everyone to enjoy nature.
