The FABS exercise classes have been developed by experts to help you to improve your flexibility, aerobic health, balance and strength for overall greater strength. All the keep fit exercises can be done seated or standing, depending on your ability - perfect for seniors. Pay for nine and the tenth class is free!
Come and join us for a fun circuit style workout - without the shouting. In this class we will use a mixture of slam balls, dumbbells, barbells and more as we create a workout which will build strength and promote energy levels. This class is perfect whether you have a weight management goal, or want to get lean. Maybe you want to meet new people, and get in some exercise whilst doing it. Up to 90 minutes, 4-5 miles, possible steep inclines and stiles. If this is your first Health Walk, please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start so you can register and listen to a pre walk briefing. You don't need any special equipment but be sure to dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes and bring a bottle of water. A personalised aqua therapy class designed for individuals with muscle and joint problems, including arthritis, knee, hip, and back pain. For the first session, please arrive 30 minutes before the start time.
An adaptable class that responds to your individual ability, water confidence and focus. Perfect for returning to exercise, building confidence and fitness. Suitable for recovery from injury or managing a musculoskeletal condition as well as general wellbeing. Pre-registration is required before attending your first Good Boost session, please contact your local leisure facility.
Walking netball is played at walking pace, with players not allowed to run. This includes with the ball or off the ball, and includes jogging. You can ‘walk’ as fast as you want and walking as described in the rules is “one foot must be in contact with the ground at all times'”.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have never used the toning suite before you are required an induction. Inductions are £11.80 and must be booked over the phone or in site 01472 326875. You are only permitted to use the Toning Suite if you meet a certain criteria which will be authorised by the Fitness Supervisor.
