Overview
Sundays, once monthly, 18:30-19:45The effects of constant 'doing' and chronic stress can really take their toll on our nervous system. Treat yourself to this special workshop which provides a dedicated space for stillness, rest and recuperation.Step out of the rush and into an atmosphere of deep tranquility. The room will be softly lit by gentle candlelight and warm, ambient lighting, creating a truly unique sanctuary for relaxation. As supported by bolsters, blankets, and props, you'll drop into deep, profound rest. Taking this time out to relax and restore is an essential act of self-care.We will share a short, very gentle movement sequence to prepare the body for stillness, followed by restorative yoga postures and a deeply soothing guided meditation. What is restorative yoga?Restorative yoga is the practice of conscious, active rest designed to soothe a stressed-out nervous system. It is a slower- paced type of yoga with sequences containing only a small number of asanas (postures) held for longer periods of time. Props are used in order to support the body in positions of comfort to encourage deep relaxation . This support encourages a deep letting go, which in turn cultivates a sense of mental and physical calm, allowing the body to truly rest and repair.Club features
