Culture in Common
Overview
Creative Walks are a series of walks throughout the New Forest aimed at connecting people to nature and each other through creative activities including photography, sketching, creative writing, outdoor dance and much more! When: Wednesday 16th July 2025 10am - 12pm Location: Tall Trees Trail & Blackwater Arboretum, Rhinefield Ornamental Dr, Brockenhurst SO42 7QB Meeting Point: By the refreshments van in Blackwater Car Park Tickets: £5* *Subsidised by by Culture in Common, more info available here. Join us and step into nature with movement, as we learn about choreography making, drawing inspiration from our surroundings. You will be guided through gentle breath and movement exercises to open our senses to the sounds, shapes, colours and scents of the forest. And we will draw on the vibrant and colourful qualities of the forest floor and canopy to inspire ideas for expressive movement. We’ll be starting off from the Blackwater Car Park, following the Tall Trees Trail and meandering along forest paths to the Arboretum with its large collection of trees where we will find a tranquil space to explore and develop the movement patterns that have inspired us along the way. Expect a relaxed and playful walk to reflect on and embody the gifts of nature. No experience is necessary, and the walk is open to all. Refreshments will be available at the end of the walk.
