Creative Walks: Dance-Improvisation and expressive physicality
Culture in Common
Overview
Creative Walks are a series of walks throughout the New Forest aimed at connecting people to nature and each other through creative activities including photography, sketching, creative writing, outdoor dance and much more! Join us for a creative walk by the sea, inviting the natural environment to provide an opportunity for an exploration of shapes, patterns, learning about Dance Improvisation. On this summer walk we will focus on the element of water – both in our inner landscape as well as our outer landscape - using the patterns and shapes we see around us as we move our bodies the way our bodies want to move. Expect to feel the sand between your toes on this relaxed and playful walk as we start off from Highcliffe Castle and wander towards Steamer Point along the clifftop, before dropping down to the beach to explore creative movement at the water’s edge. Returning via the beach and walkway to Highcliffe castle for cooling refreshments.
