Fairlands Cycling Club

Stevenage Cycling Hub

Overview

Club sessions run on Friday evenings from 6pm until 7:30pm each week. We meet either at Stevenage Cycling Hub in Fairlands Valley Park or at the floodlit MUGA at Marriotts School in winter. Activities will be offered to suit the ages and abilities of the riders and may include practice to improve bike handling, cycling fitness and fun races. Our coaches have several years’ experience working with young riders and are all qualified to teach cycling through British Cycling or the Bikeability Trust. The club is for children aged from 6 up to 14 years who have some level of cycling ability. Children need to be able to cycle to Bikeability level 1 standard or have attended an assessment session such as one of the Stevenage Cycling Hub's Fun Skills courses or a club induction workshop. During the sessions, parents/carers may drop off their children and collect afterwards, however, for the skills sessions, we encourage parents to stay.
