Overview
Activities at Dig It Community Allotment are physical therefore looking after your body and preparing for the active nature of gardening is essential. Feedback over the last 2 years has shown that in the winter months, mental health decreases among our service users and referrals for activities on our site increase, to prepare support this increase in numbers and the health & wellbeing of our community we have planned a weekly session providing gentle exercise that is accessible to all. We will be running weekly chair yoga and sensory garden walks at our new plot launching in 2025. This will enable us to ensure groups stay active in the colder months and have access to exercises they can the introduce to their daily routines to increase mobility, flexibility and mental/physical health at the allotment and in their daily lives.
