This month's midweek walk is an out and back route from Ilam Park to view the remains of Throwley Hall. The route will take us along part of the Manifold valley, mostly on very quiet country lanes. Total distance is 5 miles of easy walking and gradual ascents/descents. (Not as steep as Gag Lane, Flagpole Hill for example). No stiles. It should take 2 -2.5 hours.
Paid Parking is at National Trust Ilam Park, with the tea room and toilets available.
From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills.
