Intermediate/Gear 2 walk - Penton

Overview

An Intermediate / Gear 2 walk of approximately 1.25/1.5 hours. Walking at a faster pace and a distance of approximately 4 miles. The gradient is gentle, but the aim is to maintain a good pace so the technique must be established. There are a couple of alternative routes according to the ground conditions but walkers should be prepared to walk along country roads and farm tracks with the option of a long gentle incline for a slightly further route. Gear 1 - A nice, easy and natural pace that you can do for extended periods with recovery periods where appropriate. Short hills might be introduced.  Gear 2 - A faster pace gained through technique. There will be less recovery time.
