Wensleydale Walk and Wild Swim

Overview

Ideally timed the morning after Ed’s 40th Birthday Bash, a gentle 10km walk from the Wensleydale village of West Burton up to the Height of Hazely and Black Scar. Picnic en route before a wild swim opportunity at Cauldron Falls just outside the village. The first of this year’s intermittent series of weekend walks. We will meet at Cauldron Falls Car Park in West Burton (https://w3w.co/cookies.elsewhere.headboard) at 10.00am. For lift sharing we will be leaving York by 8.45. 10km walk is across gentle moorland terrain with views across Wensleydale to Bolton Castle and guaranteed to be no further than 12km! Pub and cafe options in West Burton and also en route back to York.
