Swimming for Disabled People

Overview

We meet every Monday evening at Huddersfield Leisure Centre (HD1 4BP) From 7pm to 8pm Club members come to play table top games such as dominoes or just meet and chat. From 8pm we have exclusive use of a swimming pool at the Leisure Centre where members can swim lengths, learn water skills and swimming, or just enjoy the freedom of being in water. We also arrange occasional outings to the coast and local theatre. Find our website at yourkdsc.org

Meeting point instructions:

Come to the main entrance and find us on your left at the coffee bar area. Centre staff will also direct you to us.

Accessibility Information:

The area is on one level and there are no access restrictions. The pool has steps with a handrail or a chair hoist or sling hoist for entry and exit. There are many club members and Leisure Centre staff always around to offer help.
