Overview

An accessible movement and stretch class for adults of all ages. Come along to have fun, connect, and move your body. Sessions involve exploring a range of creative sequences and activities to a variety of music, cultivating a shared sense of fun, relaxation, and achievement. The session involves one hour of dancing followed by 30 minutes for a brew together. Curious Motion specialises in 'dance for health' - utilising contemporary dance and elements from somatic movement practices to support people to express themselves, connect with others, and supporting whole wellbeing.

The Space @ Field Lane is a community centre next to Field Lane Primary School. It is situated along the green fence and is signposted from the road.

Accessibility Information:

Dance for Wellbeing takes place in a one-storey accessible building, including a changing place toilet and step-free access throughout. Further information, including images of the space, is available here: www.thespaceatfieldlane.org.uk/accessibility Curious Motion's dance artists are experienced in offering an inclusive practice to enable everyone to participate in the way that works for them. Individual guidance is provided as required. The movement content can be done seated if standing is not suitable. This session is facilitated by Matt Lackford, who is a member of the Lived Experience Advisory Board for Everybody Moves!
