Accessible Golf

Overview

With support from Sutton Coldfield Charitable Trust, Walmley Golf Academy and Foundation CIC has just opened the UK's first disability designed artificial putting green. A surface suitable for wheelchairs and walking aids, offering users a chance to experience and learn golf. We are committed to offering long-term lessons/sessions not just one-off taster sessions. With funding available from the Walmley Foundation to support users.

From arriving at the golf club we aim to make your experience as seamless as possible. Disabled parking is available. Access to the clubhouse restaurant and bar is via a wheelchair-friendly lift Access to the practice area is down a tarmac path, this path is downhill and if it's deemed too steep there is car access and parking from the main car park to the practice area. The practice area does not have a toilet facility for any users. Disabled toilet areas available in the clubhouse
