Hereward Heat is a club for wheelchair basketball players - experienced or new. Players include fulltime wheelchair users, those with mobility issues, and able bodied people. If you like team sports, learning new skills, high energy activity or just having fun, then Heat is for you. We’re always looking for new players, so please do get in touch.   We train at Comberton Village College (CB23 7DU) near Cambridge, on Tuesday evenings. And play a few matches at the weekends during the season.

Walking netball is played at walking pace, with players not allowed to run. This includes with the ball or off the ball, and includes jogging. You can ‘walk’ as fast as you want and walking as described in the rules is “one foot must be in contact with the ground at all times'”.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have never used the toning suite before you are required an induction. Inductions are £11.80 and must be booked over the phone or in site 01472 326875. You are only permitted to use the Toning Suite if you meet a certain criteria which will be authorised by the Fitness Supervisor.

We’re delighted to continue our initiative promoting accessibility and inclusion in sport through Visually Impaired Tennis. We book the Main and Teaching pools at Places Leisure Eastleigh, Passfield Avenue SO50 9NL for our exclusive use on Tuesday evenings between 8.00pm and 9.00pm. Members can also meet beforehand from 7.30pm in the cafe area.
