Wellbeing Walks are short walks, run by friendly, specially trained volunteer walk leaders, who are on hand to provide encouragement and support. All walks are free of charge and are open to everyone – you don’t need to preregister, just come along and join us. Falls are not an inevitable part of getting older and the good news is, falls can often be prevented. Steady and Strong classes for older adults have been developed by experts to increase your strength and balance, helping you to stay stronger for longer and able to keep doing the things you love. You will do a mix of seated and standing exercises, with chair support for those who need it.
Level 3: 3-4 miles, fields and hills, quicker pace and possible stiles. Intermediate walks, ideal for those with good walking fitness and able to complete 60-90mins with minimal stops. Level 4: 3-5 miles, fields and steep hills, quicker pace and stiles. Advanced walks, ideal for those with very good mobility and fitness and able to complete 90mins + with minimal stops. A moderaterly placed one hour (ish) social walk which will help improve your fitness and wellbeing. Please park at Bedfords car park by Wildlife centre (cafe) where the walk will start from. Parking is free.

Nestling on the edge of the Peak District, Lyme was once home to the Legh family, and in its heyday a great sporting estate.?
