Functional Fitness for Seniors is about exercising to improve your ‘function’ - the things you need to do in day to day life and that you need to age well. The class focus on 'Fundamental' movements that we all need to make the most of our lives, both now and in the future. It is about undertaking exercises that research shows benefits us to maintain a happy and fit life, combating frailty, maintaining heart health and balance. The classes aim to ensure that this is also FUN!
Rebalance is a weekly session to help balance your Nutritional, Fitness & Wellbeing needs through discussion, exercise
Level 2: 2 - 2.5 miles, tracks and some hills or moderate pace. Ideal for those looking to develop their walking fitness and able to complete 45-60 mins with minimal stops. Free parking, up to 3hours, public toilets and optional paid refreshments. We regret no dogs, unless assistance dogs. Under 18’s may attend but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A gentle walking pace incorporating strength and balance exercises outdoors. This Wellness WALX is designed for those who benefit from progressive, gentle exercise, and is open to those using poles, not using poles or who would like to try poles. Beginners are very welcome.
