A fitness class for all seniors to help and maintain / improvement overal ability to move and enjoy life! Each class incorporates flexibility, endurance, balance and strength exercises which are shown to help enhance the quality of life as we get older. The class is fun and friendly too!
These are guided activities for women and girls, designed to empower individuals with play/ games We mindfully build overall athletic abilities We learn martial arts, yoga, team games and conditioning Nature also plays a part as we plant seeds and train indoors or outdoors according to the season
All are welcome to this new exercise class with a difference. Improve your flexibility, strength and balance in a friendly, supportive group. Move within your own limits: you can sit, use a chair for support or stand - choose whatever works best for you. 60 minutes of exercise followed by a cuppa, cake and chat. The group walks for 1.5 -2 hours including a refreshment stop at a cafe. This is a fun gentle walking group for all ages and abilities. Come along and make new friends from your local community, have fun and get active! GEMS is a friendly and relaxed dance class for over 65s which includes a mixture of seated and standing movement with a focus on everyone going at their own pace and having fun. GEMS is more than a dance class. It's about being part of a community, building friendships and everyone enjoying themselves. We cover a wide range of styles and facilitate the exploration of creative movement. Each session costs £3.50, your first session is free!
Gentle, fun, chair-based ecercises
Level 2: 2 - 2.5 miles, tracks and some hills or moderate pace. Ideal for those looking to develop their walking fitness and able to complete 45-60 mins with minimal stops. Level 3: 3-4 miles, fields and hills, quicker pace and possible stiles. Intermediate walks, ideal for those with good walking fitness and able to complete 60-90mins with minimal stops. First Steps - This is our shortest walk, 20 - 30 minutes, flat and even ground, gentle pace, no stiles, regular stopping places. It is a gentle walk for beginners and ideal for people who are returning to physical activity after injury or illness or who haven't been active in a while.
