Glasgow Wheelchair Rugby is Scotland’s only full contact wheelchair rugby club. Based in Glasgow the club is made up of two teams, The Caledonian Crushers our adult team, training 7-9pm and our junior team, The Caledonian Clan, training 6-7pm both at Tollcross Leisure Centre, every Tuesday. Wheelchair rugby is an exciting, fun and fast paced sport where there can be a role in the team for those with least amount of physical function. The club is open to both sexes and ages eight upward.
We provide an opportunity to train in wheelchair basketball for people of all ages and abilities. We cater for players from beginner to elite level and also run sessions for young players from age 7 upwards. All of our coaches are fully qualified and hold current DBS certificates
Walking Netball is a slower version of the game; it is netball, but at a walking pace. Sessions are full of fun, laughter and camaraderie. It is not a requirement to register in advance but if you choose not to follow the online registration process we do ask that you email the contact on this page so where possible, they are able to communicate with you should any cancellation occur. Each paying ticket admits one carer free of charge. Supervision ratios apply for children under 8. These are: children 18M – 4Y = 1 full paying adult – 1 child. Children 5 – 7 Y = 1 full paying adult bouncing – 10 children. Over 8’s – No ratios apply. Trampoline socks must be worn.
Social group walk jog or Run around Gorleston area. Take part at pace comfortable for you; walk, jog or run. Darkness and Street lighting increases risk of trips, slips and falls so the pace will be slow and social. The route is mixture of tarmac and grass with kerbs and road crossings. Tuesday's Efforts are about learning different paces and efforts. Doing efforts either help your running form, give you strength to keep you injury free and in the end run faster with less effort.
