Berkshire Vision provide a monthly programme of adapted and accessible sports for people with visual impairments. These sports change with the seasons, some run all year round.
A Soft Play session with a focus on children up to 10 years with special educational needs and disabilities. Adult supervision ratios apply. No outside food and drink is permitted. All junior tickets include 1 adult, all additional adults need to purchase a ticket. Socks must be work at all times.
Sessions for adults to swim socially, no lanes. These sessions are generally quieter and so may be more suitable for those living with dementia, neurodivergence and/or other long term health conditions
An adaptable class that responds to your individual ability, water confidence and focus. Perfect for returning to exercise, building confidence and fitness. Suitable for recovery from injury or managing a musculoskeletal condition as well as general wellbeing. Pre-registration is required before attending your first Good Boost session, please contact your local leisure facility.
Handcycle hire of a sport-on XCR adaptive handcycle: 1-2-1 session with a guided ride to build confidence. Individual hire that you can do independently, taking the handcycle out with a group friends/family or just on your own. As an adaptive cyclist, access to a handbike has enabled me to explore areas that were once off limits, and do so at my own pace. Start your day with a small-group outdoor Pilates class in the heart of Battersea Park. This 55-minute session focuses on building core strength, improving posture, and increasing flexibility — all with the fresh air and open space of the park. Suitable for all levels, with personalised guidance from your instructor to help you move well and feel energised for the day ahead.
A recovery and rehabilitation exercise class for sports injuries, health conditions or relaxation. This class benefits from the low impact, supported movements that the pool has to offer.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have never used the toning suite before you are required an induction. Inductions are £11.80 and must be booked over the phone or in site (01472) 326875. You are only permitted to use the Toning Suite if you meet a certain criteria which will be authorised by the Fitness Supervisor.
A welcoming, gentle and relaxed experience in the pool. Great for people who are simply wanting a quieter low key session to enjoy swimming.
Build full-body strength in a small-group outdoor class using barbells, weights, and timed circuits. This 55-minute session is designed to help you get stronger, improve muscle tone, and gain confidence with lifting — all in the fresh air of Battersea Park. With a maximum of 6 people per class, you’ll get personalised coaching and safe technique guidance, whether you’re a beginner or experienced lifter.
