Wheelchair rugby league is an adaptive version of rugby league, designed for people with physical disabilities and is open to abled bodied too. It is played on indoor courts, with teams of five players who use specialised sports wheelchairs. The game combines elements of rugby league and wheelchair basketball, featuring high-intensity action, strategic play, and physical contact.
Our football club gives our members aged 16+ the chance to enjoy a popular sport and improve their skills. Players don’t need any football skills or knowledge of the game to join football club, just a willingness to get involved and a positive attitude! Our football team is entered in the Somerset FA South West Ability Counts league and play regular league matched against other teams from the region. The team are currently top of Division 2!

Interested parties should initially contact the above. They will then be invited along on a Tuesday evening to see the club and to be introduced to the sport of prone target rifle shooting. Due to the nature of the sport, we have rules and regulations that must be adhered to and so a basic vetting will take place before full club membership can be confirmed. Dorset Wheelchair Basketball Club for physically disabled and non disabled adults. No experience necessary. We provide a basketball wheelchair so as long as you can use a conventional wheelchair you can play. First few sessions free of charge. Mixed ability. Equipment class using the Pilates Reformer, Cadillac Tower and Pilates Chair. This class uses the fundamentals of Pilates (improved posture, stability, flexibility and strength) and incorporates these into a higher intensity session using the Pilates equipment and small weights to strengthen, stretch and tone giving you that fabulous Pilates body – we may get a little sweaty in this class too!
