Triathlon is a great way to get fit and stay healthy and can be adapted for a wide range of impairments.
Triathlon brings the sports of swimming, cycling and running together. There are opportunities for everyone with or without a disability to get involved in triathlon and swim, bike, run with clubs, events and activities across the country all throughout the year.
By combining three sports together, there are various ways to get involved whether it’s triathlon (swim, bike, run), duathlon (run, bike, run), aquathlon (swim, run) or aquabike (swim, bike). There’s an activity waiting for you!
Things you might need to get started
If you’re planning on starting to train then running shoes, a bike and a swimming costume are needed.
As you build your skills more advanced equipment might be needed including a wetsuit.

There is also a network of clubs and events for you to get stuck into and explore the world of swim, bike, run. Clubs provide a great social space where you can develop in the individual disciplines and build them together, whilst events give you the opportunity to put your training into practice.
