Go along and see what you enjoy; there are field sports such as shot put, club throw, javelin and long jump and a range of track disciplines including wheelchair racing, running with blades, or guided running for athletes with a visual impairment.

Athletics clubs can organise a wide range of inclusive opportunities and its worth checking out what’s available near you.

Things you might need to get started:

  • Trainers or Running spikes
  • Comfortable clothes
  • Water to keep you hydrated

Most disabled athletes do not require any adapted equipment to take part.
