Ice Skating is on a mission to become inclusive and accessible to all!
Do you want to glide across the ice and do amazing routines?
British Ice Skating, the national government body for Ice Skating has launched a major disability participation initiative to grow the opportunities for disabled people to engage in social, recreational and competitive skating.
Ice skating is a great way to stay fit and will tone your core and glutes. It is also a great way to be artistic in sports!
Stef Reid, a former Paralympian turned Dancing on Ice star, did not realise it was an option to skate as someone with an artificial foot and only started skating at 37. She said of the scheme:
'The scheme gives skaters and coaches the freedom to learn and teach skills in a way that is right for them, and it means even more people can get involved!'
