If team sports are your thing then goalball could be the game for you.
Goalball is a sport that was specifically created for people with visual impairments. It is an exciting indoor 3-a-side sport that involves a mix of attack and defence.
All players wear eye shades so no one can see and need to rely on their other senses to score goals and defend their own net.
Players stay on their hands and knees and can feel their way around court using tactile markings. The game is played with a ball that contains bells and the aim is to simply score more goals than your opponents.
The sport can be played almost anywhere as long as you have two goals (jumpers for goalposts would also work!), a ball with bells and an eyeshade.
Things you might need to get started
Goalball clubs will be able to provide the essentials.
For those looking to start their own game you will need a flat surface/court, a ball with bells, goals, and eyeshades for each player.
