We are a friendly gliding club located at Rufforth airfield just outside the historic city of York. Established in the early 1960s, we pride ourselves on our community spirit and passion for flying. We operate a number of modern gliders to suit all requirements, from forgiving trainers to agile performance gliders. Whether you are an experienced glider pilot, a complete beginner looking to begin your journey in gliding or simply want to experience the thrill of powerless flight, we can provide the perfect flying experience for you as long as you weigh between 8 stones and 16 stones (51 to 102 kilograms).
