Overview
Walk your Way to Health with Havering’s Health Walks…
We walk 6 days a week and have walks to support all types of walkers. Walks vary in length from 30 - 90 minutes and are graded from easy to hard. There are also longer walks run outside of Walking For Health for those looking for an extra challenge. Walking for Health Qualified Walk Leaders are always there to assist and advise on all walks.
Everyone is welcome and the walks are FREE!
Please see our attached programme for times, dates and meeting points. There is no need to book, just come along on the day you want to join us. We recommend that everyone starts with an ‘easy’ walk. Please aim to arrive 15 minutes before the start time to allow for registration.
Our walking programme is here to help support you in leading an active lifestyle, whilst discovering more about the many greenspaces in your local area. These walks are very popular, with an average of 30 -75 walkers on each walk, so are also a good opportunity to socialise with other people who enjoy walking.
We also run a series of shorter walks specifically for those recovering from illness or injury. For further information and advice, please contact sportsdevelopment@havering.gov.uk or call 01708 431016
