Attending the club:
To attend a taster session free of charge please contact Jonathan Coles on jonathan.coles@berks-bucksfa.com. The first session is free and if your child would like to continue the cost is a low £50 per season. Normally we would run 25-30 sessions per season (weather dependent). Our season runs throughout the school year. Starting in September and finishing mid-December for Christmas. We then restart the 2nd half of the season in late January and run until the end of June. We do not run sessions during half-terms, Easter, Summer or Christmas breaks.
When we meet:
Sessions are normally held on Thursday evenings. Please note for the period of May 2021 to July 2021 all sessions will be on a Tuesday evening to help limit numbers of people on site. We run two sessions; U8's 5pm-5:45pm. U12's & U16's 5:45pm-6:45pm.
Is there a specific meeting point at the address:
The recreation ground is located at the bottom of Boxhill Road in Abingdon. Parking is located on the left and right as you enter the recreation ground. Our session take place on the first football pitch located closest to the pavilion.
Equipment:
All players are recommended to wear shin guards and clothes they are comfortable to do physical activity in. Players can wear football boots in they wish but these must not have metal studs. Plastic molded studs only. The majority of our players wear AstroTurf Football trainers but normal trainers are absolutely fine.
Accessibility Information:
Our sessions take place at two facilities. In the Spring and Summer we are located on grass fields at Boxhill Recreation Ground. The field can be uneven and is typical of most public park football fields. In the autumn and winter we train at Tilsley Park Sports Complex. We use a 3G hockey field which is flat and step free from the car park. Both facilities have changing rooms and access to a disabled toilet.
