Overview
Avon Sports & Leisure Club for the Visually Impaired meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm at the Bristol County Sports Club 40 Colston Street Bristol BS1 5AE.The club was formed in 1979 to enable visually impaired (Blind or partially sighted) people to meet and support each other and to take part in sporting activities and or recreation. To this day it has been run by visually impaired people with support from friends and family as needed.
Some of the sporting activities we enjoy include:
Bowls, Ten pin bowling, Swimming, Skittles, Car driving, & New Age Kurling
Recreational activities include:
Short breaks away, Day trips, Theatre / cinema, Guided tours, Dining out, Quizzes, Dominoes, & Walking.
