Super 1's Cricket

Somerset Cricket Foundation

Overview

These sessions are suitable for young people with additional needs. Our cricket sessions are fun, played with a softer ball and will teach the basics of cricket! Super 1's will not only allow individuals an opportunity to play cricket, but our sessions provide a space for young people to meet new people, make friends, develop confidence, teamwork and communication. In addition, a big element of Super 1s is game play. With multiple cricket hubs across the County, throughout the year (during the school holidays) participants have the opportunity to meet other young people and represent their hub in fun, social and safe cricket matches (all matches are played with a soft ball) The club runs every Thursday from 6.00pm to 7.00pm at the Uphill Castle Cricket Club, BS23 4PD The sessions are free to attend and are led by a qualified cricket coach and supported by staff who hold valid ECB DBS, Safeguarding Young Cricketers and First Aid certificates. All equipment can be provided.
