Trampolining, Rebound, Active and Sensory Play

Overview

Jump Space is a specialist recreation centre providing Trampolining, Rebound Therapy and Active/Sensory play to disabled and non-disabled people of all ages. We provide a safe, fun, understanding and non-judgemental environment to play for disabled people and create a supportive social space for everyone who comes in. Our accessible HQ caters for groups and individuals with a wide range of impairments. All sessions are led by highly trained staff who use a range of communication methods to teach skills progressively. We cater for individuals, families, groups, schools, colleges, residential homes, referral units and so on. Jump Space’s specially adapted centre has 2 gyms. The main gym has 3 trampolines, an accessible play area with slide, a swing and large sensory room. The small gym has 1 trampoline and an accessible play area and interactive sensory panels. Both spaces have interactive floors. Our unique provision means that siblings can enjoy trampolining sessions alongside their brothers and sisters while parents and carers can chat and network. Jump Space offers regular classes in the evenings and at weekends, timetabled drop in sessions for both adults and children, and regular slots for schools, homes, groups and so on. We may also be able to accommodate one off bookings depending on the timetable.

Accessibility Information:

We have free onsite parking with accessible bays. There is further free parking on the street in front of the building. There is a ramp leading up to the front door. Inside the gyms, we have hoists to facilitate access to the trampolines, sensory areas and swings. We have an accessible toilet with track hoist and adult sized change plinth. There is also a second toilet. We have a lift to our upstairs Rest/Bite area where there are vending machines and a space to relax and wait for your session to start, or to socialise after a session. There is also a microwave here. We do need a form to be completed before people can participate in trampolining. For medical reasons, people with rodded spines, brittle bones, detaching retina(s), dwarfism and those who are pregnant may not trampoline. They are welcome to join us in a session and use the rest of the equipment. We also ask that people with Downs syndrome complete an AAI form before attending if they wish to trampoline.
