Learning Disability Rugby League

Overview

Learning Disability Rugby League sessions are held on a Wednesday Evening at University of York St John Sports Fields, Haxby Road, York, YO31 8TA. Our Learning Disability Rugby League team is part of the Community Integrated Care Learning Disability Super League. Our training is played using tag rugby rules and is centered around inclusion and participation, non competitive, no scoring rules. These sessions are open to players with physical or learning difficulties, with physical disability players able to play as enablers to help their teammates with learning disabilities. We welcome players from all backgrounds and all ages. We play five festivals per year all over the north of England with players also taking part in pre match activities and theme days at our York Knights and York Valkyrie home matches at the LNER Community Stadium.
