Mixed Ability Rugby | Every Body Moves

Mixed Ability Rugby

Overview

Mixed Ability Rugby aims to provide an opportunity for everyone to play Rugby union. Mixed Ability sport is simply that, a mixed team. Able bodied, beginners, those coming back to the sport, those carrying injury and those with physical or mental barriers / disabilities. The game bar a handful of adjustments is exactly the same as rugby you'd see on the TV but with more smiles and where everyone is included. Since 2016, the men's team has brought in over 100 new players to Worcester RFC with many progressing up the club's senior team's ladder to play 3rds, 2nds and 1st team rugby. And as a mixed ability programme we have won H&W's Most Welcoming Club, the UK Coaching Inclusion Award and been nominated for the Variety Club of the Year and for a local BBC Make a Difference Award.... which we may yet win! In 2022 we welcomed a womens team into the MA family.. we now have over 20 registered players this season, and along with the mens team have been invited to take part in IMART ( International Mixed Ability Rugby Tournament) 2025 in Pamplona, Spain. We would love to welcome.you to our rugby family and show off your skills.
