Sitting Volleyball

Overview

Sitting Volleyball is an adapted version of the standing game, but it is played on a smaller court, with a lower net and participants move around on the floor to play the ball. Don't be fooled, this game is far from sitting still, but requires dynamic, explosive movement and team work to play effectively. It is available to persons with a disability or not, making it one of a handful of truly inclusive sports. It is fun, challenging, social, competitive and a great work out. At South Hants we cater for all skill levels, from complete beginners to those who representing their nation. Our club provides an excellent support system for people with disabilities, especially amputees. To play you must be able to move unaided and track a moving ball. We train every Monday from 1900-2100 at the Harbour School in Portsmouth. Please come along and join us!
