Overview

Based in Creuddyn Leisure Centre the club is open to disabled and non disables people of all ages who want to play wheelchair basketball. We run two sessions on a Thursday evening. The 1st session is for newcomers and recreational players and aims to offer a friendly atmosphere for players to exercise and improve their general fitness. We also encourage encourage carers, family members and friends to join in to help create a relaxing and fun session. The 2nd session is for those who wish to learn more about the sport and participate in local and regional competitions. This session aims to develop individuals skills and knowledge of the game through focused training exercises and gameplay. The club runs regular friendly evenings with other local clubs as well as participating in an inspire a generation local league. We can also offer opportunities to those who wish to progress to play at national league level. Both sessions are run by qualified coaching staff who have extensive experience of both playing and coaching wheelchair basketball, supported by trained volunteers who offer support and help to players . The club has a range of wheelchairs that can be adjusted to suit individual players impairments to enable them to play basketball. If you want to try wheelchair basketball just come along on a Thursday evening form 6pm onwards.
