Wheelchair Racing

Overview

Wheelchair Racing at John Charles Centre for Sport The Leeds City AC Wheelchair Racing group meet on a Thursday evening (6:45pm - 7:45pm) at the Indoor Bowls and Athletics Centre - part of the John Carlos Centre for Sport. We predominantly train on the outdoor track, but we do have some training rollers to aid training when the weather is not suitable for outdoor training, or to assist beginners getting used to wheelchair racing. The first session is Free, and we use this to determine if we have a suitable chair for you (the athlete), as well as for you to see how the group works and what the Club is like. The next 6 sessions are used as extended taster sessions, before you are asked to join the Club. :) The cost of the 6 sessions is £15 in total (£2.50 per session). Training fees then cost £5 per month, or £50 per annum.
