A 60 minute class aimed at people who are less mobile and unable to come down to a mat on the floor. The class starts sitting in the chair using grounding techniques to bring awareness into the present moment and progresses to standing postures with support of the chair if you are able. This is a gentle practice to mobilise the whole body without putting strain on vulnerable areas. We finish with a seated meditation. Ilchester Town Hall main room is upstairs but there is a lift.

A gentle walking pace incorporating strength and balance exercises outdoors. This Wellness WALX is designed for those who benefit from progressive, gentle exercise, and is open to those using poles, not using poles or who would like to try poles. Beginners are very welcome.

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done while sitting. Some poses will be done standing using a chair/ballet barre for support. Chair yoga can improve your flexibility, concentration and strength, while boosting your mood, and reducing stress and joint strain.
