The instructor will take into consideration your individual circumstances and has a range of chair, standing and floor exercises.
Very low intensity workout aimed at people wanting to improve strength and posture. Exercise bands are used within the session to increase strength for people who are de-conditioned or coming back to exercise following operations or illness.

Move to Improve: This course is for people who want to improve their emotional and physical well being by increasing movement and activity. • It is a 5 week course on exercise and mental health, barriers, motivation, unhelpful attitudes and behaviours physical activity and stress. • Then a 1-1 review call to look at progress and problem solve barriers. • A final review group after 8 weeks to look at progress and group problem solve difficulties and managing setbacks for long term maintenance
Falls are not an inevitable part of getting older and the good news is, falls can often be prevented. Steady and Strong classes for older adults have been developed by experts to increase your strength and balance, helping you to stay stronger for longer and able to keep doing the things you love. You will do a mix of seated and standing exercises, with chair support for those who need it.
Hampshire Healthy Families Ready Steady Walks are free, push-chair friendly, social walking groups for families with young children living in Hampshire. Ready Steady Walk is a good excuse to get out into the fresh air and give you the chance to meet local families in your community. Your local walking group will be led by a Barnardo’s volunteer, or your local community worker. The walking groups meet once a week at the same venue in your area, at the same day and time.
This 5-week session is funded by Herefordshire Council. Each session is an hour long and aims to teach the technique of walking with poles. Nordic Walking is a total body workout, strengthening both lower and upper body muscles.
