We are offering complimentary golf lessons via use of the Paragolfer, which is a specially designed vehicle that enables a participant with a mobility impairment, spinal injury, paralysis to be lifted in to a standing position. Once competent the user can visit any time to utilise the benefits of the Paragolfer, play golf and socialise in the golf environment any time. Through Expert coaching we can ensure the route to regular recreational activity.
The Yorkshire Lions Wheelchair Rugby Club was set up in October 2013. A small group of tetraplegic ex-patients from Pinderfields were brought together by Kevan Baker, who is the Lions Manager and Allan Smith who is the Lions Head Coach. Formed in 2008, we are the North West’s premier wheelchair rugby club. We want everyone who includes wheelchair rugby in their lives, whether as a player or a volunteer to love everything about the sport; the excitement, its contact and the feeling of belonging to a community - the WCWRC community.
