Displaying local activities and events running in the next two weeks
Each chair yoga session will include: an initial grounding, some gentle joint freeing/spine mobility, modified yoga poses, gentle breath-work to calm and help regulate the nervous system and a final relaxation/meditation. Chair yoga makes yoga accessible to those who are either uncomfortable or unable to stand for extended periods of time and/or those who have difficulty transitioning from standing to the floor or vice-versa.
A Soft Play session with a focus on children up to 10 years with special educational needs and disabilities. Adult supervision ratios apply. No outside food and drink is permitted. All junior tickets include 1 adult, all additional adults need to purchase a ticket. Socks must be work at all times.
Walking Netball is a slower version of the game; it is netball, but at a walking pace. Sessions are full of fun, laughter and camaraderie. It is not a requirement to register in advance but if you choose not to follow the online registration process we do ask that you email the contact on this page so where possible, they are able to communicate with you should any cancellation occur. Beginner friendly walking group, led by an insured and trained Walk Leader.
The Active Blaby team co-ordinate and sometimes lead a series of walks designed to get people moving. These Health Walks are quite short in length, relatively easy in pace and are delivered in a way to get you moving as a first step to building activity into your day. They are also a great chance to socialise with other like minded people and have some fun too!!
We encourage and promote sport to people with a disability to enable them to be physically active. Our sessions are led by enthusiastic and fully qualified coaches who will ensure that the participants have a great time and have an opportunity to to try a range of activities.
