Thursday Daytimers is a leisurely walk lasting around an hour and appx 4-5km We walk at a pace to suit everyone and nobody is ever left behind. A more gentle walk for those with a recent medical condition that means that mobility is limited, and who feel their fitness levels have declined as a result. The challenge is still to manage an hour walk, with rests when needed. Regularly weekly walks can bring improvements. Start of the walk is at the same time of the other group. These gentle walks are suitable for people who would like to start Nordic Walking to get fit but have no/ little walking experience, have had an injury or an knee/ hip operation. We often walk on the Tissington Trail as this is fairly level and even. But we will also incorporate fields and hills in our walks which are 2-3 miles. Join this free Wellbeing walk, for fresh air and fitness in a friendly environment. Wellbeing Walks are short walks, led by friendly, specially trained volunteer walk leaders, who are on hand to provide encouragement and support.
