Northern Ice is at the start of a new era in wheelchair curling, in Northumberland. Formed by ex-wheelchair basketball players looking for a new challenge. 10 years on and we are all still best friends, loving life and our sport.
Walking netball is designed to help people keep an active lifestyle despite their age, as well as getting those back playing netball who had to stop due to injuries.
These sessions are quieter with reduced capacity to cater for individuals with learning and disability needs, whether a physical or a hidden disability. Sessions are suitable for fitness, socialising, and rehabilitation.
This class will leave you feeling calm, quiet, reflective, and restored. It is slow paced, the perfect class to either set you up for the day ahead or to release tension and stress built up during the day. It is suitable for all levels, including beginners.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have never used the toning suite before you are required an induction. Inductions are £11.80 and must be booked over the phone or in site (01472) 326875. You are only permitted to use the Toning Suite if you meet a certain criteria which will be authorised by the Fitness Supervisor.
Functional Fitness class for over 50's to maintain and improve Endurance, Mobility, Balance and Strength. Exercises are led to suit all levels. Free Strength band is given to attendees. The class is now held in the Greenlands Inn, Longbridge Lane, (directly opposite the railway station). The first class is Free, then its £3.50 per session. Not sure if this is for you?
