Flexible friendly fitness class designed for the active retired to keep you moving while working on your posture, balance and core strength. Low impact and suitable for all fitness levels. I always do some work on the floor as well as using weights, resistance bands and other apparatus at various times. Walking football for men and women over the age of 50. Matches usually based on a 7-A-Side format, 25 mins each way. A slower form of football which is great for steady cardio fitness, fun and friendships.
This fun dance class teaches you to move like a dancer, have fun and gives you a good workout. The moves are all low impact and suitable for all levels of fitness.
Grade 1 - 30 minutes, about 1.5 miles, gentle hills, no stiles. If this is your first Health Walk, please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start so you can listen to a pre walk briefing. You don't need any special equipment but be sure to dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes and bring a bottle of water. There is a choice between a L1 & L2 walk: Level 1: 1 to 1.5 miles, flat or gentle slopes, no stiles and ideal for those able to complete 30- 40 mins with minimal stops. Level 2: 2 - 2.5 miles, tracks and some hills or moderate pace. Ideal for those looking to develop their walking fitness and able to complete 45-60 mins with minimal stops.
